To start out the new season, here are the AY2016-17 season final numbers.

YTD: Year to Date
GB: Games Behind
ΔKU: Current year delta compared to KU
-V: without 101 wins vacated by the NCAA in 2015 (the official NCAA record)
wV: with vacated wins
Top 5 programs plus Syracuse, which was in the 5 spot until NCAA sanctions in 2015.

To recap:
Squid's squad added another game to its lead over KU last year.
The tarred ones gained two games on KU and one on kensucky by winning it all.
The dookies lost ground to UK to the tune of 4 games, KU 3.
Temple fell another 16 games behind the >ugh< leader, and Syracuse fell behind another 13.
I keep listing the Orange because it reminds me that the NCAA does punish some malfeasants, and maybe, just maybe, they will again in the not too distant future.

As always, please let me know if you have any questions or spot any errors, and thanks in advance!

AY2017-18 KU OBJECTIVES:
14(18)/61
: Bill and the boys go after an NCAA record breaking 14th straight Big 12 conference regular season title (18th in 22 Big 12 seasons), and NCAA best 61st conference title in program history.
11/28: 11th Big 12 Tournament title, and 28th overall conference tournament title.
and
4/6: NCAA and overall National Championships.

WELCOME TO THE AY2017-18 SEASON!

Last year --
13th STRAIGHT CONFERENCE TITLE!
Congratulations, again to our JAYHAWKS!

BILL SELF: already in the record books for most consecutive regular season titles for a coach,
and this year (most likely in the first 4 games played) will pass Roy Williams as the #2 winningest KU coach in history!

KU: tied with UCLA with consecutive conference titles!

Let's get #14 to break that tie and then win another NC!

THANK YOU, JAYHAWKS!!!

Normally I only update this table once a week on Sunday evening/Monday morning.
However, tonight, especially with the win being over UK, is a special night.

BILL SELF tonight tied Roy Williams as the #2 winningest KU coach in history with 418 KU wins.
This Friday, November 17, 2017 against South Dakota State he has the chance to move into sole possession of second place, trailing only the One & Only Forrest C. "Phog" Allen.
