"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime." - Mark Twain "Innocents Abroad"
AD reportedly when he refused to fire Pitino.
Note that Steve Pence, Pitino's attorney, has said that Pitino has been "effectively fired."
Shocking, just shocking.

Hmmm... death penalty, anyone? folks are talking about it.

Hmmmm. Not defending "Slick Rick" or Louisville, but.....
Let's see. You cannot "cheat" during the recruiting process....but once they enroll you can cheat all you want to keep them eligible?
OK....got it!

"When you have a ruling class that doesn’t believe in — or even much like — the fundamental values of the nations it rules, things tend to work out poorly.”
Glenn Reynolds
This will not end well for a lot of coaches and basketball programs. A lot. Once this first group starts to 'flip,' which I understand has already begun, the list of individuals and institutions involved will grow exponentially. I'm not going to guess who will fall, but we can all hope it won't be KU.

Pitino has to go. with the prior stripper scandal and now this - he's toast. I was appalled by his first official statement today. Clearly written by his lawyer, feigning anger at the "third parties" who perpetrated a fraud against Louisville. 100% passing the buck, and likely setting up his own defense against criminal charges.
