Kansas announces radio deal with Sports Radio 810

Kansas announced (via release) a three-year agreement with Sports Radio 810 WHB to broadcast the school’s basketball and football games.
“Sports Radio 810 is a major player in the Kansas City market and we are excited to join forces with the entire Union Broadcasting team,” said Sheahon Zenger, Kansas director of athletics. “Owned and operated by more than 20 Jayhawks and with a vast Kansas City presence, we feel this partnership will continue to strengthen our connection with the large number of KU alumni and fans in the metro area.”
Additional programming, including women’s basketball broadcasts, the Hawk Talk coaches’ shows and baseball, soccer, softball and volleyball broadcasts will spill over onto ESPN Kansas City (1510 AM and 99.3 FM).
Brian Hanni will continue to handle play-by-play duties for both men’s basketball and football, with David Lawrence providing football analysis and Greg Gurley serving as the basketball analyst. Jimmy Chavez performs play-by-play for the women’s basketball games."
