Any news of what Frank Mason is doing lately? I keep hoping to hear he is working out for various teams and making a great impression on those who are hung up on his height.

Murphy--

I'm w you. I hope he gets a good hard look by a number of teams.

BTW--we have another cutie pie to look forward to in a year or so. Saw his photo on some site which was posted here recently. Apparently he, too, is a pee wee a la #BIFM. Had the high hat hair do....BUT a gorgeous big smile. Cross btwn D'v'te and Frank....cannot recall if there are dimples involved. :-)

I just hope he isn't wasted by the team who drafts him. I still have nightmares about Vaughn and his disastrous pick by the Jazz. Stockton wasn't about to retire and let such a talented player replace him. To this day I will not watch Utah play. (We Scorpios have long memories!)

Looking forward to the new cutie pie!

Same as Anna, Wheaty.
We've made it work for 33 years now... :)

What fun! Although we don't wait for our astrology report before venturing out the door, there is something special about sharing our signs. It makes sense in the compatibility equation. The best friends throughout my life have been Scorpios; now I find comfort in knowing the signs of some of my favorite posters.

I too am a scorpio, and I believe that Frank will be at the combine. He's gone from "not listed" on most draft boards up to now a likely 2nd round pick.

Wouldn't it be unusual for the National Player of the Year (and a consensus one at that) to go so low in the draft? I did see him quite low in the 1st round on one mock draft. Is it just the height? He's such a great guy who plays with heart and soul and gets things done--such a waste if someone doesn't use him appropriately.

So, do u ride the pine in the NBA.....or PLAY elsewhere? Is round one the only "guaranteed" contract....or is it just part way in round 1?

If he doesn't get drafted I hope he lands w a team eventually and burns the @$$e$ of some short sighted GMs in the future!!!

Although I do read Port's updates of Jayhawks in the playoffs and on tv....outside of that? Simply couldn't care less about the NBA.

And the latest update is that Oubre, outside of his decent first quarter in yesterday's game against the Celtics, has had a +/- of minus 80 in the playoffs (according to the guys on PTI). Wowsers...that's rough.

Wheaty, Round 1 contracts are guaranteed $$$.
Round 2 is usually more $$$ than going undrafted, but not guaranteed.

If it were me, if I wasn't a first round selection I think I'd rather go undrafted and have the choice of replying to teams interested in me trying out with them. Might not be as much $ year 1, but proving myself could make a big difference in subsequent years.

And I don't follow the NBA either, except for playoffs and how are our Jayhawks doing?

I am at a loss to see why Frank's height would be so much of a downside. There has been some very successful NBA players who were 6' or less. Here are a few examples:

Allen Iverson
Isiah Thomas
Chris Paul
Tim Hardaway
Spud Webb
Darren Collison
Nate Robinson
Mookie Blaylock
Earl Boykins
Damon Stoudamire

And I could name a few more. What it takes to succeed in the NBA is heart and Frank has plenty of it. He has been the most determined player in recent memory. He plays hard and works hard to make his game better. He WILL be a great NBA player in my opinion. My two cents worth.

Totally agree, mpeterson44. I wonder if there's a scheme hoping to steal Frank by downplaying his skills and emphasizing his height.
