“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”
1936 inscription on the portrait of Dr. Naismith, displayed above Phog Allen's office desk at KU.

Oh, when I saw your post subject thought you were heading to KC. Would imagine the crowd will be mostly KU fans. I read somewhere about the Baylor band rooting for MSU. Also read in Tulsa paper where Baylor asked fans to root for KU. Didn't really matter, since 90% of the Sunday KU game crowd were KU fans. Unfortunately, we had a group of about 6 in the row behind - they were rooting for MSU since the guy got a Masters from IU. That was understandable, but for some reason, they also rooted loudly for USC. I almost asked the guy if he had gotten a degree from some Pac 12 school too. Thankfully Baylor shut them up in the end.

Just got two tickets to the games (plural) through KUEA. Have to go since I attended The Tulsa sub-regional. My KU graduate (three degrees), non-sports liking better half decided she wanted to attend, a miracle. The stars are lining up.

AGREED, Wheaty!
hoshi, tell Mrs h to be sure to bring all her good KU Karma with her!
(As WSG already noted, just her wanting to be here is a great start!)
