Aggies Friday afternoon!

My family (mom, dad, and me) are members of the Shield Society for UCD as my sainted mother is leaving her estate (such as it is) in a charitable foundation in memory of my dear departed brother. I could pull a few favors and get court side for the game, but it would be in such bad taste given the circumstances. So I'll be content wearing my Shields Society pin with my jamin' Jayhawk pin on my lapel. Besides, KU by 25 easy . . .

Meanwhile, all the news coverage is about what a scholarly research institution UCD is and they have "student athletes " as opposed to KU where, in their view, we run a Squid program. I'm tired of hearing it -- believe me.

On a different topic, how are folks finding the Buffalo Wild Wings commercial where the Jayhawk fan uses the BWW magic to pull a Louisville player out of the game? Or is it regional?

Haven't seen the academic comparisons. Nor have I seen the commercial. I'll try to be aware....I have a tendency to record and speed thru the ads.

I have only seen the Coke commercial where KU is playing KY and the power goes out.

I've seen the commercial. KU is playing UK, though (not Louisville).

I was surprised--but happy--to see the commercial here in the KC area.

What's this about KU having a squid-type basketball program? Them's fightin' words!
