I'm referring, of course to something that just popped up on my "KU Hoops" notification on my phone (didn't delete it yet, but I will as soon as I'm done typing this).
I joked last week that every time I see it pop up, I get a sinking feeling that somebody's going to jail. Well, I got the popup, and instead of a jail story, the "story" is an update from Self's weekly press conference.
Apparently "somebody" (would love to find out who) asked HCBS about having to play through the distractions this year, and Self responded about it referring to it as "crap and distractions" and saying how proud he was of his guys for getting through it. I'm sure that he discussed lots of other things and answered lots of other questions at his weekly presser, but this is what the Star chose to write about.
BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE: the actual question was about 1 sentence long. Self's answer was about 4 sentences long. I guess they had to fill up some space, because the Star then used 5 paragraphs to recount every "scandal" that the team has been exposed to this year.
So I'm deleting, but not without a fight. I'm going to go to the Android play store and give them a review on the way out. Sorry Star, you officially suck.
