You may recall I posted this earlier.

Depending upon his performance the rest of the way and how far KU goes in the two postseason tournaments this year. Frank has the chance to finish
5th in KU Career Scoring and
6th in KU Career Assists by season's end.

If he can maintain that average, or better yet get back up to 5 APG, he has a chance to pass Tyshawn Taylor for 6th place all time (IOW, KU cagers -- when Frank passes you the ball, SCORE!)

NO ONE in Big 12 history has averaged 20 PPG and 5 APG for a season.
Here's hoping Frank can become the first to do so.

Frank is now #6 all-time in KUMBB scoring and #8 in assists.

1. Averaging 20.8 PPG this season, Frank needs 51 more points to pass Sherron Collins for 5th place on the Career Scoring list.
2. Averaging 5.18 APG this season, he needs 11 more assists to pass Tyshawn Taylor for 6th place on the Career Assists list.

NO ONE in KANSAS* or Big 12 history has averaged 20 PPG and 5 APG for a season.

*I heard about this being an all-time Kansas stat on one of the Time-Warner Cable Sports KU game recaps. I have yet to be able to verify it independently, but the research I have done to date supports the claim. If anyone knows differently, please let us know, and thanks!

His lead over the 2nd-closest player (Collison) can only be called "GAPING" or "MONUMENTAL."

It is so overwhelming in scope that it strikes me as one of those "never will be broken" kind of stats (in this case, for KU hoops), much like the great Wilt's NBA career rebounding record -- where his lead over the amazing Bill Russell is a WHOMPING 2,304 rebounds. And the most "contemporary" era player, Kareem, came in almost 6,500 less than Wilt, despite playing in 515 more games!

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_National_B...r_rebounding_leaders

Manning is on a pedestal with that record. And especially when you allow for the fact that only a one-and-done caliber player could ever have the talent level to even sniff at DM's record, but will never stay four years like Sir Danny, you realize that you might as well etch that record in stone. It ain't going anywhere. Ever.

Another impressive spread is in assists, where Aaron Miles has an insane lead over the field. It may not be in the same caliber as Danny's or Wilt's, but it's pretty amazing nevertheless.

Good stuff, HE. Thanks for tracking...

Frank is now #6 all-time in KUMBB scoring and #7 in assists, still trailing Sherron in points, but passing Adonis in assists with the win against Purdue.

1. Frank needs 25 more points to pass Sherron for 5th place on the Career Scoring list.
2. He passed Adonis Jordan, and now needs just 4 more assists to pass Tyshawn Taylor for 6th place on the Career Assists list.

His season averages after the Purdue game (26 points, 7 assists) are 20.9 PPG and 5,23 APG.

Normally if we were reading that Frank scored 21 points, had 4 assists to just 1 turnover and gathered in 4 rebounds from his PG position, we would be basking in the glow of another KU win. It's a measure of the young man that he brought his guns while it seems the rest of the Jayhawks forgot theirs against Oregon.

Frank has finished his KU career at the #6 all-time scorer and #6 all-time assists man. He passed Tyshawn in the latter, but came up 4 points shy of passing Sherron in the former. Would have loved it if he had one more game and the chance to become just the 5th player in KU history to score over 1900 points. Alas, 'twas not to be.

He finished his senior year averaging 20.9 PPG and 5.2 APG, the first player in Big XII history to record 20 and 5 averages in those statistics.
He career totals were 1885 points and 576 assists.

Best of luck to you in the future, Frank, and thank you so much for a wonderful four years representing our beloved alma mater. You did us proud, laddie!
