would aiways want a player of his quality HE but from what ive heard most days in practice malik newman is the best player on the floor ( JJ excepted obvi). i also think that devonte will be back so im hoping the point will be handled well, tho admittedly differently from what frank has done for us, espec this year. combined with dramatically better frontcourt play ( doke, preston, bragg, lightfoot, coleby) conf championship no 14 ought to be achievable. my worry is the three where we will be dependent on svi and the other freshman, obvi a huge step down from jackson. hopefully another recruit or transfer will materialize.

Slide the chips all in for Duval. We'll be strong enough in the backcourt regardless, but adding him would fit nicely. As someone else had mentioned, I don't get all disappointed when a potential one and done goes elsewhere. Just means we have another good opportunity coming our way! Rock Chalk!

In the comments, Suzi Marshall has some interesting comments based on her in-person observations of the head-to-head competition between Young and our signee Marcus Garrett.
