Baylor: Fairly inconsistent (Consistency Factor=1.21) which could hurt them. Seems to play better on the road (with the obvious exception of the West Virginia game). Has slightly positive trend but they are coached by Scott Drew so that is a problem.

Iowa St: Fairly consistent in conference play. Oddly, they have played better on the road. Now 5th ranking in the DPPI in the Big 12 (Kansas St., 2 places ahead).

Kansas: Still very consistent and they have been all year. No real trend. Have definitely performed better on the road.

Kansas St: Probably the scond biggest up and comer in the Big 12 right now. Appear to have a quite significant positive trend. The game in Bramlage is looking like one of the toughest of the year for KU

Oklahoma: OU is clearly the biggest mover in the right direction in the Big 12. They came back to earth against Iowa St. but played them to OT and played exactly on projection. They have been very inconsistent but mostly for OU that means they are getting better. Getting Woodard back was huge. Look for OU to play spoiler every night.

Oklahoma St: Very inconsistent and have been all year. Finally won a game against Texas Tech and did so dominantly. This is a talented team but their lack of consistency will hold them back. But on any given night they can beat anyone.

TCU: TCU has been crazy consistent like Kansas. No trend and nothing much to see here other than a very good team ranked 29th overall in the DPPI and 6th in the Big 12. With TCU, what you see is what you get.

Texas: 6 of Texas' 7 games they have performed above projection. This is a pretty good team playing the most consistently in the Big 12 right now. Unfortunately, they rate out as the worst team in the Big 12 even though they are ranked 67th overall. That is how good the Big 12 is this year.

Texas Tech: Just got lambasted at home by Oklahoma St. Texas Tech seems to be on a downward trend.

West Virginia: West Virginia's ability to play very well or very poorly for whole games has bitten them in the butt. They have played terrible for three straight games. Not sure what is up with that. Their next game is Kansas in Morgantown. If they can't get up for that game then they are truly toast. Oddly, they still rank very highly in the DPPI. They are 2nd overall in the DPPI Raw and 5th in the new DPPI Refined rating. The refined rating is my attempt to include an adjustment for the inconsistency factor.

Don't worry about the mules, just load the wagon!!
