You can't have both and you can't have neither.

Knew I could count on you to put up a poll, Bay!
Gracias, amigo!

And yes, I voted 13, because as both NotO and I have noted earlier, we are witnessing history in the making. KU going after the UCLA 13 straight conference titles streak. A task taking 13 years to accomplish!

Of course I want for both the streak to continue *and* for KU to get its 6th (4th NCAA) NC! I want both The Streak and another NC for both this year and next. But that was not the question posed.

Thanks again!

By the way, the UCLA streak carried over more than one coach.

Everyone knows, or at least usually correctly guesses, that John Wooden was one of them,

Your RCB Trivia Questions of the day are:

1. Who was/were the other coach(es)?

2. Who was coaching UCLA when it was finally dethroned as conference champ?

Extra bonus: who dethroned UCLA?

Rock Chalk!

We have a winner!

Correct on all counts, JR!

Your prize - unlike your namesake and despite all the new open carry laws, no one will be taking any potshots at you this season, leaving the rest of us not having to ask the infamous question "Who shot JR?"

Well done, sir!

... the Oregon State team that broke UCLA's 13 straight conference titles streak, was none other than Chanute, Kansas' own Phog Allen disciple and Naismith Hall of Famer Ralph Miller (KU '41).
