We have been wanting them to shoot better from the free throw line we just did not expect that to come at the expense of our three point shooting.

Obviously this turned out ok in the end. The other upside was that Lucas is continuing to play better and Bragg contributed fairly well.
FTs were up too.
HCBS has had an obvious disdain for "fool's gold" by relying too much on 3's, and the downside of having to try to win when the shots aren't falling. For the 1st half at least on Saturday, the shots WEREN'T falling so now we know what we need to do in that situation. On the flipside, for a while, Davidson couldn't miss, so it was really a "perfect storm". Had we not let off the gas a little bit, I think we'd have closed out the 1st half in control.

In the second half the Defense cranked it up about three notches . And the spacing on offense seemed better. Davidson may not be a high NCAA seed but they stayed with some good teams.
The Hawks played about 16 minutes of very good basketball in the second half. They play 32-35 minutes like that and they can beat anybody.
b/t/w Kentucky and UNC showed Saturday that they can score as can UCLA. It it our D that will give us a way to beat them.
