If you thought Stanford shot a lot of FT's you would be correct. Their 30 FT's made is good for a tie for 2nd all-time by an opponent. You may remember the game in Morgantown last season when West Virginia went 33 of 47. But 30 FTM is the most ever in Allen Fieldhouse. The 37 FTA is tie for 10th overall and tie for 2nd in AFH (Kansas St. in 20117 at 41).

The good guys, according to NCAA Stats, make 59.8% of their FTs. In the ranking of FT% they are 339 out of 347. They have left 70 points on the line. OUCH! That % will make for some interesting viewing when things get real in a couple weeks.

HORRIBLE!

In my view, that should be among the highest of priorities in practice. You're just giving away points when you shoot so poorly from the unguarded free throw line. Not just giving away points, but inviting disaster if there's no course correction. Let's call a spade a spade: KU WILL lose several games this season if this doesn't get cleaned up in a big way.

“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”

1936 inscription on the portrait of Dr. Naismith, displayed above Phog Allen's office desk at KU.

I am with Alfred E. on this one. “What? me worry?” I really believe we will hit our free throws when the time comes. I am a bit worried about the Freshmen but the rest of the team will be fine as we get into the season. That is my prediction.
