It seems like the tournament has had a lot of games where one team clobbers the other during the first half, only to see that reversed in the second half. Is this related to playing in oversize venues with courts that aren't permanent fixtures on the floor? An issue with lighting and perceived distances affecting shooting?
Probably isn't a fairness issue, but it seems like games are playing out in Jekyll/Hyde or a Tale of Two Halves fashion more often than usual. Just wondering if anyone else saw the same or has any stats to dis/prove.
I think it's a bigger issue next weekend. The arenas in use this week are all basketball/hockey type arenas. Not all that unusual for the players.
Next weekend, they go to a football stadium and it is very different visually. The benches are low and "below" the elevated court, and the crowds are further back in much more "vast' space. I absolutely think that some guys adjust better to that than others, particularly shooters.
So the put an itty bitty basketball court in the middle of a football stadium. Why? Let's say the stadium for football holds 75,000.....do they sell another 25,000 "floor" seats? Obviously never been to final four....but wonder is it a ticket sales sort of thing?
