I think Self should have gotten COY, but if not him, definitely Tubby. He did a great job with Tech this year.

Congratulations to these KANSAS JAYHAWKS:

Perry Ellis -- unanimous All Big 12 First Team
Frank Mason and Wayne Selden, Jr -- All Big 12 Second Team
and
Devonté Graham and Landen Lucas -- both All Big 12 Honorable Mention! :) :silly: :side: :woohoo: B)

It speaks volumes about the level of envy and jealousy among Big 12 coaches that they didn't vote Self COY. All he did was coach the team that won THE TOP LEAGUE IN THE COUNTRY, and he did it running away (by 2 games) and with a 10-game league win streak to close out.

Just because you're on top of the heap doesn't make you ineligible for COY...even though that's exactly what happened with these yahoos. If anyone of them had a program that had gotten to 1st place (not to mention by 2 games) in this league, you KNOW they would've been voted COY.

Instead, a team that finished 7th--behind 6 clearly better teams in the league--has its coach named COY. I'm happy for Smith and the job he did, but it pales--PALES--by comparison with what Self did at KU this year.

Travesty.

... and I failed to mention that the guards atop the All Big 12 Defensive team were Mason and Graham!

Throw that in with Landen earning HM, and it's clear to see that a Bill Self team has been emerging in the last part of this season -- just in time!

Thanks, JoJo!
