“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”
1936 inscription on the portrait of Dr. Naismith, displayed above Phog Allen's office desk at KU.
After some of the critiques for not dunking, not being able to jump, etc., it's nice to see a picture like this:

Shoot, he looks like he's got a 2-foot vertical there.
So happy for the kid. He's shoveled a ton of coal and kept his humility, so it's good to see him enjoying some success and the limelight.

Great to see good things coming to a very quiet, hard-working kid who has paid some serious dues:

"When I was a freshman, I remember Coach Naismith telling us how important it was to play good defense." - Mitch Lightfoot
Perry dunking is also a good thing. The past couple games he's been doing something we've been waiting 4 years to see,
On the topic of Perry, his "shake and bake" move yesterday required a rewind in the NotO viewing room. Posted up on the WVU goggle boy, he moved toward his right, got goggles headed in that direction and then revered to his left, spun and put up a sassy baby hook. Thing of beauty.
