Season summary

"I jumped on everybody on the team, including myself. We didn't play in the first half.

(On KU not leaving the locker room for the second-half warmups) "Why did we need to work out? Why did we need to warm up after what we did in the first half? Our minds were more important than our bodies.

"They made every shot they looked at. But our defense wasn't there. It's something we've been able to count on all year long.

"It was a 24-point lead (at halftime). If we'd done our part, it could have been a 12- or 14-point lead. Early in the second half, we fumbled around. With about 12 minutes to go, we became more aggressive.

(On KU pulling to within three points with 0:36 left in the game) "It was a lot of fun at the end of the game. We almost stole the inbound there, but we had to foul.

"It was an emotional thing out there. They had a pep rally before the game. Danny (Nee, NU coach) spoke to them. The crowd was ready."
