KU Volleyball Falls to Nebraska, 3-1

The Kansas volleyball team lost in the national semifinals of the NCAA tournament to the Nebraska Cornhuskers, 3 sets to 1.

KU finishes the season with a record of 30-3.  All three losses are to teams playing for the national title: once to Nebraska, and twice to conference rival Texas.

The season truly was unprecedented in KU history: a 19 match win streak, the school's first Elite 8 appearance and victory, and first Final Four appearance.  Also for the first time KU had a first-team All-American--in fact two, sophomore setter Ainise Havili and sophomore right side hitter Kelsie Payne.

The loss ended the KU careers of three Jayhawks: outside hitters Ashlyn Driskill and Tiana Dockery, and defensive specialist Anna Church.
