It's early and these are verbal non-binding commitments, but a lot of KU Football recruiting activity over the weekend. Rivals currently has KU ranked 2nd in Big12.

... have you got any idea who all the walk-ons are this year? The last time I tried to identify walk-ons it was practically impossible without insider info, which I didn't have (and I wonder under our most recent coaches if even the insiders were sure).

I know KU is not back up to 85 scholarship players yet, that would have been huge news, so there have to be a lot of walk-ons.

Just looking at the official KUAD roster -- 114 guys are on it as I write this. That means at least 30 walk-ons. IIRC the NCAA allowed numbers are
85 scholarship players (certain of that) and
120 total allowed on the roster, for at least 35 walk-ons even if all 85 rides are taken.

I haven't spent much time on the Slant fb board since after Y2 of Beaty (just too depressing), maybe I'll head back there for a bit to gauge the mood and maybe glean some info...
