"I congratulate Oklahoma State, not just Bryant (Reeves), but I think he was sensational. Their defense tonight was much better than our offense. We couldn't get the shots we wanted, couldn't get the cuts we wanted, couldn't get the offensive rebounds we wanted. I thought their defense was sensational. And on offense they know who their best players are, and they go to those guys and go to those strengths. Their whole team beat Kansas.

"We got it to four, but we never got the ball with it like that. We rushed some shots down the stretch. Regardless of what your deficit is, you've got to take an extra two or three seconds to make sure you get a decent shot. We've just got to get better shots when you're trying to come back.

"We were very impatient (early in the game), and at the same time we weren't getting the basketball inside. Bryant plays 20 minutes in the first half and 39 for the game, and you've got to make him play on the defensive end of the fllor a little bit, and we didn't do a good job of doing that.

"He (Reeves) was pretty motivated. The last couple of times we've played, Greg has been pretty effective against him, and he may have been more fired up tonight than Greg was."
