Alliance/Jayhawk Slant were among the first to report Jeff's strong performances this summer and rise in interest from major programs. Jeff will be making an unofficial visit to KU and MU soon with family. 8/21/01 - The LJW confirms a story by Jon Kirby with Jayhawk Slant that Jeff will visit KU in October and had made an unofficial visit last weekend. The official visit will be the weekend of the KU vs. MU football game, October 20th. 10/12/01 - Jeff has moved up his official visit to the weekend of Late Night. Depending on how the weekend goes, he may not reschedule FSU. A number of different JC player rankings puts Jeff clearly among the best, they just can't decide if he is a center or power forward. That doesn't matter at KU as they are pretty much the same. A source states that a recent visit by KU coaches to see him practice at Iowa Western left them quite impressed. There are a number of major Division 1 players on the team yet Jeff was the "man" in the middle and completely unstoppable. He just physically outmatches opposing players and would be expected to see the same results in the NCAA. 10/16/01 - Jeff apparently had a great time at Late Night and subsequently made a commitment to attend Kansas University next fall. Jayhawk Slant broke this commitment and it was confirmed by the Lawrence Journal World this morning.
