Verballed UCLA Over: Duke, Arizona 2/26/01 - From Rivals. Considered the top prospect on the west coast. He is averaging 23 ppg and 7 rpg. 7/17/01 - Evan will have a challenge to qualify academically but that has not stopped schools from pursuing him. His play this summer justifies the interest. His play in the Nike camp was described as a "man among boys" by one report. Don't be surprised to hear he is the first highschooler to declare for the NBA - only by a nose over Amare Stoudemire. It appears that KU isn't anywhere in the picture now. 9/25/01 - Evan committed to UCLA but they will have two hurdles to get him on campus. First will be qualifying and the second will be the lure of the NBA.
