Hassan was an early rumor this summer but then KU appeared to have dropped off his screen. Well, theiiirrrrr baaaccckkk! It appears that KU is in heavy on Hassan. A team mate of another new KU recruit - Brandon Bowman, he could make part of KU's second package deal in two years. 8/21/01 - The LJW confirms a story by Jon Kirby with the Jayhawk Slant that Hassan will visit KU on September 8th for the KU vs. UCLA game. KU will apparently make an in-home visit on September 10th following his visit. His other official visits are to Arizona, Oregon, Tennessee and Boston College. He unofficially has visited UCLA and Cal-Berkley. 9/7/01 - The LJW confirms a report by Jon Kirby with Jayhawk Slant that Hassan is visiting this weekend for the UCLA football game. It is still possible that he will return for Late Night. 11/5/01 - Arizona picked up this talented wing guard. With a depleted roster, playing time will be abundant. Articles give the feeling that KU's late start hampered their efforts and that if he had taken his official visit for Late Night weekend, it might have sealed him as well for Kansas.
