basketball team, but we really wanted to make sure that Jeff (Boschee)
had bragging rights, too. A lot of times youngsters will make
themselves so much tighter in that type of scenario, and I think Jeff
really stepped up, made his shots, did some nice things for us, and I
think it was very nice for him. Christmas time back here in his home
state, and somebody said beforehand that this will be the largest crowd
to ever see a basketball game in the state of North Dakota, so I'm sure
he feels pretty good about it right now.
"It was a good crowd. They wanted North Dakota to play well, they wanted Jeff to play well, and I think it was something important to us for him to play well. This is the only game in my life that I've ever looked at my watch during a basketball game, because we've got a pretty quick turnaround here to get out. Hopefully, the guys can get home and they'll have the 23rd, 24th, 25th, and 26th off, then we'll come back and hopefully have a great practice on the 27th and twice on the 28th, then we'll get ready to play Tulsa next." |
