I don't think we can judge him on this years recruiting for defense, since he has almost no time to change anything. We are already near, or over, or max on recruits for next year.
The following seasons recruiting class will show a lot more I does thinketh.
Unless all our already commits de-commit, that would show a very negative effect on recruiting. But That Ain't Gonna Happen.
I like the hire. I like it a lot.
Weiss and Campo could turn KU into an NFL prep school on both offense and defense, and I have no Problem with that. And even in a few years when they both retire and we have younger coaches (Clint Bowen, Grunard) who have learned from these guys take the reins with both Weis and Campo as "consultants" to the KU staff.
