Sites for the national semifinals will rotate among the major bowl games and not be tied to traditional conference relationships.
Title game goes to highest bidder city.
Selection committee will pick the top 4 teams. Selection criteria have not been finalized, but is anticipated to emphasize (but
not require) conference champions and strength of schedule. Also not revealed is who would make up the committee, but it is expected that they will adopt a committee member selection model similar to that of the NCAA basketball tournament.
Effective date: 2014 season, title game in January 2015 (existing contracts limit changes to after the January 2014 bowl games).
