Not limited to Self...

I think sometimes we simplify things too much regarding this kind of stuff. I don't think Self's kids are any different than anybody else's. Lots of teams let off the gas a little bit before the final buzzer when they're up big, and sometimes it comes back to bite you in the butt. As for last night, it will probably be forgotten within a few weeks. The only difference this year is that it's happened a few times, possibly indicating a problem.

Heck, sometimes the coach does it himself....clear the bench and you've essentially thrown in the towel, right?

Finally, don't discount the trailing team. We've been in this position too. Down by 20, get a little run going, and get it under 10 and suddenly it's a ball game again.

Specific to last night, however, I do think we started going through the motions, and A&M didn't follow the script about quitting when you're down 20 with 10 to go.
