Earlier thread on the Big 12 tourney and seeding angles

This thread got buried pretty fast, and might not have been seen. Though it's dated prior to Monday's and Tuesday's games, you can get a sense of where the teams stand, and what KU needs to happen if it wants to obtain preferred seeding for the Big 12 tourney:

Speaking just for me, I would like to see a final Big 12 standings that a) minimizes the amount of effort KU has to expend to secure the tourney crown, so that we have that much more energy left for the real deal, the NCAA Dance; b) brings ISU up into 2nd, moves Baylor down to 4th, and swaps K-State with Texas so that K-State takes the 6th spot. That would mean that Misery would have our matchup problem foe (Iowa State, as the 3) on their side of the bracket, along with Misery's matchup problem foe facing them (K-State, as the 6), while we'd have Baylor and UT (easier draw for us than ISU and KSU, in my view).

Fingers crossed for a perfect storm. Probably won't all go down like that, but one can hope!
