Question about sending on links to specific messages

Dave, there was a message I liked on the bball board that I wanted to email to a friend. I copied and pasted the link into the body of an email and sent it to myself and to my friend. After we received the email with the link and clicked on it, it took us to the RCB in general and not the specific message. My question is: Is that supposed to happen? And is there a way to fix it? Thanks.
